Custom peptide synthesis services

A defined sequence, test plan and feasible quantity are the foundations of a useful synthesis brief.

Agree the acceptance criteria before synthesis

Custom synthesis is most useful when the requested molecule and the acceptance decision are both defined. Supply your sequence in a standard notation, specify terminal chemistry and modifications, and explain whether the material is an analytical reference, an assay reagent or another research input. The technical review can then consider the likely purification challenge, analytical approach and quantity needed for evaluation.

An accepted scope should state which tests are included and which are additional requirements. A purity result should name its method; identity should have suitable supporting evidence. Discuss handling conditions and the form in which analytical records will be delivered. If a requested sequence, formula or process is confidential, begin with a non-confidential outline and arrange confidentiality terms before sharing protected material. We do not infer a CBL-514 peptide sequence from its name or offer an unverified sequence as the sponsor’s investigational formulation.

  • Non-confidential feasibility brief
  • Sequence, modifications and agreed identity tests
  • Purification and batch-release acceptance criteria
  • Sample approval and documented change control
  • Written commercial scope before production

Frequently asked questions

Is custom peptide synthesis a route to the clinical CBL-514 formulation?

No such equivalence is established. Custom peptide synthesis concerns defined peptide sequences, while the cited CBL-514 program is a small-molecule formulation. These enquiries require separate technical and legal review.

What should a CDMO clarify before accepting a project?

Clarify the material definition, intended scope, rights and confidentiality responsibilities, analytical deliverables and acceptance criteria. General development capability does not establish a right to reproduce a third-party investigational formulation.
